Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette from Canada was born on the 1st of June, 1974, in Ottawa. Alanis can be described as the female version of Alan which is her father's birth name. There are two brothers: Chad (Alanis twin) as well as Wade. She started playing piano and guitar at the age of was just 21. Alanis released a hit single from 1986 called Fate Stay with I (b part: Find The Right Man). She released two albums as dance-pop vocalists in Canada: Alanis (1991) and Now Is The Time (1992). When she was 18, she moved to Toronto and worked with several performers and song writers, but the partnerships didn't go as planned. In 1994, she discovered the perfect partner in producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who had previously worked with a variety of performers, including Aretha Franklin Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. When she moved to LA She turned 19 years old. On June 13th 1995 "Jagged Little Pill" was released on Madonna's Maverick Records. Alanis's songs were autobiographical. JLP sold around 30 million copies across the globe and is the most-sold female-oriented album ever. This is also the 3rd most talked about album of all time.
