She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. The first job she had after school was in the field of real estate. This is where she met Tarek. The couple had a great time prior to the 2008 market crash, when a lot of real estate developers and house flippers collapsed. Tarek El Moussa & Christina El Moussa nearly insolvent due to the crash in stocks in the year 2008. Following their move from a home which cost them $6,000 per year, to a new apartment that cost $700, they almost lost everything. Their business as well as the economy overall slowly regenerated. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted assistance from a close friend to create the audition tapes for HGTV which featured Christina flipping the property over completely from scratch. Pie Town Productions' executives took possession of the tape. They were enthralled by Tarek's and Christina's love story. The couple officially signed a HGTV contract in the year 2012. In April of 2013, "Flip of Flop" began its debut. For seven seasons, the show ran from 2013 until 2017. On the show, Christina and Tarek would purchase properties, usually mid-income homes in Orange County, and would then proceed to spend several weeks making upgrades so they could sell the home in order to earn profit. Tarek is focused on construction and remodelling while Christina concentrates on style while also making sure all goes according to plan.
