Antonia Lofaso

Chef Antonia Lofaso's food is an opportunity to delve into deep into her inner world. It is her food that evokes curiosity, which developed when she left the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally diverse scene of Los Angeles. Carnitas, Cavatelli and various other cuisines can be found on one menu. It is an ever changing sensibility. Her dishes all are based on a singular concept, that is embracing the moment as well as reminiscing about the previous. Motivated by her American-born Italian heritage, Lofaso opened Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 and was instantly well-received. Lofaso is lauded by her fans for her rendition of traditional Italian food. The food at Lofaso is always genuine, warm and pleasing. Lofaso was a student of legendary chefs and absorbed their sophisticated techniques however she wasn't afraid to make bold decisions in order to follow her intuition. She soon rose to the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago, and then went into working closely with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. Through Black Market and the business alliances she created, Lofaso was able to find her place to call home. The partnership would allow for the creative freedom Lofaso longed for. Black Market is not constrained by a single direction, and that is the intention. You might start with Dill chips and then Shishitos peppers. Next comes the Korean wings and then meatballs. The underlying ingredient in this dazzling variety of tastes is Antonia. Lofaso assesses the success she has had throughout her career by her ability to get to know her audience well and stay authentic to who she is. Her memorable performance in Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars celebrated her individuality outside the kitchen and her talents are still shining in front of the camera, as a panelist on CNBC's Restaurant Startup as well as in recurring role on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child as well as ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso released The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Easy and Delicious recipes in 2012, together with Penguin. The book also tells the story of how she faced challenges while she studied at The French Culinary Institute. She had a daughter, Xea and her son Xea. Lofaso believes that all her success is due to her passion cooking, and she's capable of keeping her finger in the middle of the industry through her work on her kitchen. Chefletics changes the way we look at Chefwear with its emphasis on fashion and practicality. Lofaso believes that sticking to the way you see yourself is crucial. To achieve her goal, she founded Antonia Lofaso Catering. It allows customers to enjoy an unrivalled service.
